History
The Center for Psychotherapy was founded by Barbara Metz, Ph.D., and Peter Wohlwend, M.Div., in 1974. In 1994, The Center merged with Larkspur Center and changed its name to The Center for Psychotherapy and Lifeskills Development. The Center's highly qualified counseling staff are a diverse group of therapists, each licensed by the state. Providing comprehensive services,The Center's therapists work with people of every age and every stage of life, offering individual, couples, family, and group therapy.

Location
We are located in an historic home at 912 North Elm Street in the Fisher Park section of Greensboro, North Carolina. The Center has a relaxed and inviting atmosphere designed to make our clients feel safe and at ease. We have ample parking and are on the Greensboro City bus line. Map
